It's the year, 1883 and Alistair Sampson is a wealthy farmer living on a secluded ranch in Avoy, Georgia. He is also hiding a secret from the town, something so big he could be hung if found out. Since his wife ran out on him, Alistair is finding himself lonely, so he decides to offer room and board to the new school teacher.

Thomas Milton is a teacher from Boston, who is also hiding a secret. Ever since he was caught in an "ungodly" act with one of his students, he's been in hiding. After applying for a teaching job in his hometown, he is offered the position, as well as room from a local farmer.

When the two men meet at the train station, they're disgusted to see the other. Both men were mortal enemies in school. As the days pass, both realize they have a deep attraction to the other. Can they make peace with their past, and become more than friends? Most important of all, will the town ever find out their secret?

Falling in Love with the Enemy The Reincarnation Trilogy Book 1 edition by Katrina Miller Janna Christina D'Angelo Literature Fiction eBooks

This is a timeless love story that you wouldn't expect to find too often, because the love is between two men. Alistair and Thomas, enemies in their school days, meet again in a small town of Avoy when they are in their 20s. Hostile toward each other at first, they unexpectedly find themselves falling in love with each other. It starts out as lust, but then turns into true love that lasts over 1/2 a century through many trials and losses, most of which result from the society's bigoted views of homosexual relationships.

The author has obviously done her research into the 19th century America, which gives this tale stunning details and believability. Very moving story.

Falling in Love with the Enemy The Reincarnation Trilogy Book 1 edition by Katrina Miller Janna Christina D'Angelo Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews

This book was written by a friend of mine, whom I had the chance to help perfect her many stories. This trilogy, I myself have read the other two unpublished copies, for the continuing story are very informative. The characters go together their differences are sometimes relateable. What they go through day to day can be tough, how she builds up the back stories it still amazes me. Being able to intertwine everything together throughout this trilogy. This one inparticular is my favorite story two now men fall for each other tend to go through the same struggle have fear and hate towards each other. But in the end grow to trust, and truly love one another. I cried at many different parts in this book as well as the others. I highly recommend this for you to read even if you do it once. I promise you will not be disappointed!.
The market has been waiting for a period based romantic gay novel and this is it. The love story between Alistair and Thomas starts from a point of conflict and makes the romance build wonderfully so, weaving an entertaining, interesting and erotic narrative. The ending is unexpected and on point, and I would recommend this to people in the future if they express an interest in westerns, romance, or anything homoerotic.
The author's objective, like any writer, is to tell an interesting story. It is successful on that level. But it is more. It is erotic and romantic. Moreover, I think it is an extraordinary accomplishment. The storytelling and narrative approach are handled perfectly. I also appreciate the use of the straight-forward, uncluttered language.
